There’s More to Poker than Texas Holdem!


Texas holdem is taking over the Earth, but surprisingly there are several different poker games you can play.

– Stud Games (such as 7 card stud)

– Draw Games (such as 5 card draw)

– Shared Hand Games (such as Texas Hold Em )

There are also some other qq online games which don’t fit into these types, a few of the popular of which can be high/low pig, bidding poker and guts. In almost all kinds of poker game the hand positions are exactly the same, with a very few minor exceptions that have become less or more”home-made” rules.

Listed below are short descriptions of several poker games that are different:

5 Card Draw Poker

Played by 3 – players. Each is dealt five cards and there’s a form of betting depending on the handson. Subsequent to the betting players are now able to add as many as about three cards in exchange for fresh ones. (There is one exception where a player can swap four cards if he shows the fifth to be an ace).
There exists a further form of gambling and the best hand wins. Draw poker has been the standard way to play but it has been jeopardized by Texas Holdem.

7 Card Stud Poker

Players are dealt two cards face down and 1 face up and there’s a form of betting. Cards 4, 5 and half are then dealt faceup with betting on each round. 7 Card Stud Poker is still a favorite game and is probably next right now to Texas Holdem.

Caribbean Poker

This is really just a poker game played in a casino between your player and the trader. Each has five cards and the player has to choose whether his card may be worth betting on after seeing the dealer’s card.
If the player has a much better hand than the dealer he is paid in a predetermined odds system depending upon the effectiveness of the hand.
The fixed odds range from evens to get a pair or higher card into 100-1 for a royal flush.

Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow is a fairly complicated casino game played between the dealer as well as seven players. It’s played with a joker which counts as an ace or any card required to perform a straight or flush. There are two variations in hand positions in comparison to standard poker rankings, the maximum hand is five Aces and the straight A2345 is ranked moment to AKQJT.
